I first read this book in college when Ted lent me her copy.. I thought if someone should write my love story.. this book should be it.

Hahahaha.. si ted ray ka relate. I fell in love with the book's character who is very much like someone i know. Who wanted dreadlocks and loved Bob Marley and Gregory Isaac. :)

he makes things comical. even a murder.
but i find it hard to be objective when it comes to this writer.

An unexpected place for a coffee shop. Sister told me about this shop. I pass by this every morning on my way to work. It is unusually located across Plaza Independencia. But I think the location is lovely, romatic and quite. Especially on a Saturday afternoon when all the people are somewhere uptown.

I have been here only once but I plan to go back next year...when I begin breathing normally again. The place is big. Relatively big for a coffee shop in the downtown area. The interior is typical of a coffee shop...nuetral, earthy colors.

I have only tried their tuna sandwich, just the typical tuna sandwich. like the ones I make, which are great. And their blueberry cheesecake, for Sister, which tastes like ice cream. I recommend their blueberry cheesecake. Again...I recommend their blueberry cheesecake. I am not a cheesecake fan, but surely, Id want to eat some of Josh&Matthew's blueberry cheesecake again.

But I am not confident of their coffee. I still prefer the coffee from somewhere else.

The owner looks after the place.

Good place for reading. And making small talks with the owner. And looking at the irony of the place.

I just wish they open on Sundays.

This is my favorite Filipino story by far. Upon the reading the book, I feel the summer heat, the refreshing coolness of the water thrown in celebration of the summer solstice, the body heat of the characters involved. The book is better than the movie.
